What laptop would you recommend?

08 Jun

I need to get a new laptop, and I’m not looking for anything too expensive. But I do like my laptop to be portable but also sleek/sexy kind, thin-and-light (4-6lbs) kind. Is ther any brand you’d recommend or a model? (btw not a mac user sry) Thanks ahead

Toshiba’s are awesome !! I’ve had mine for 2 years now and it’s still going strong. The new design is very sleek this year. They’re just great.

Good stuffs are like HP (with nice designs), Macbook (gorgeous but expensive tho), Dell (lower cost).
You should consult several laptop shops before you buy.
    Good Luck.

    Hello –

Everyone is making good laptops these days. I am partial to Compaq/Hewlett Packard. Toshiba and Sony are excellent machine also.

Take your time to shop around … there will be some bargains coming in the next couple of months before Chistmas and New Years.

    Best of luck,

    Bill

I really like my dell. I have a 1526. It is easy pretty lightweight and very easy to use. The newer ones are even lighter. I got mine at best buy on sale for $599. Its got a decent amount of memory, a blu ray and all that. I love it!!!

If i had to buy a new laptop, it would be an Acer or Toshiba.

Just don’t buy a Dell laptop with their “Complete Care Next Businness Day Warranty”. It took a week before i got my new harddrive when the first one has toasted. PLUS, they shipped a Refurbished shit. I’ve paid approx 300$ for this warranty, and that’s all what i get…

A Brand NEW Laptop HardDrive of this size would cost me 150$ MAX plus i would have got it the same day or at least in the next 3 days.

DELL now have serious problem with their customers services

(Oh and i forgot to say: They shipped me the wrong drive. They sent a 120GB drive instead of a 160GB!! I had to call them again to tell them about the problem, then send the wrong drive)
