All of the 9 inch ones you can get for around 300$ and they will play video perfectly. I don’t think any of the ten inch ones are currently available for 300 but if you wait a while they will drop down in price.

here is a listing of netbooks between 200 and 300 dollars with windows XP.
I am afraid they are all ether 8 or 9″ screens.
Please note that windows xp performance edition is a pirated windows program full of security holes and more likely to get viruses.http://www.google.com/products?q=netbook…

No, other two posts are not exactly accurate. I just bought an Acer Aspire One netbook for $298 with a 120GB HDD running Windows XP Home, it will handle watching videos fine. Of course you will have to connect an external DVD drive for watching dvd’s. A very nice netbook for the money IMO. Check out Youtube for demos. Here is one

There is none. Netbooks are not for video. They won’t render well enough.
Buy a 14″ – 16″ Compaq/HP/Acer/Dell for $399 on sale in one of the Sunday sale papers if you can’t spend the money.

If you want to do all that then you need to spend like $500+ bare minimum.
I don’t know where you can get one for $300 unless you find one on eBay.
