what are the possible causes of vertical thin line on lcd?

i have replaced a new lcd to my laptop but i notice there is a one red vertical thin line. that thin line sometimes appear on lcd but then sometimes it disappear. i’m really confuse if i have bought bad lcd or there is such explanation to that. please help anyone.. thanks!

    Re-check the cable that goes from the LCD to the motherboard. If it’s not seated properly, it could cause random garbage on the screen.
    However, if the line is always in the same spot, and always there, it could be a defective LCD. But, since the line sometimes disappears, first suspicion falls on the connector cable (check both ends if you can…)

    Check video card. A power surge, excessive heat, or dropping can cause the panel to go bad. Maybe you are unlucky to have poorly manufactured LCD. First determine if you need a new screen. The diagnosis is easy. Connect an external monitor to your notebook via its video output port to verify that the notebook’s other components still work. If the laptop functions properly, it is time to replace the screen. Since most laptop manufacturers charge so much, you may try to find third-party companies on the market that are selling laptop screens.
