I was on my thinkpad last night and suddenly two thin bright green lines came up on the display about an eight of the way in on the right side. I rebooted the computer and it is still there. After rebooting, the line on the far right edge is still there and the next one toward the center of the screen comes and goes. It is random and sometimes relates to moving the top of the computer (like closing the lid.) Any ideas? This is completely random though. Read some stuff online that causes this such as the bumping or dropping the computer or a failing graphics adapter.I am upset as this is my work computer. Should I back it up? If so how do I do that if I don’t have a zip drive. Cannot use a cd to backup. I tried this and it asks for a zip drive or floppy which I do not have. Please help.

A vertical thin blue line appeared on my notebook, I may have given it a bump or two, but nothing too serious. I hooked it up to a CRT monitor to test if it was a software problem and it´s not…sometimes when I move around the monitor on the hinges, the line disappears..sometimes when I move it too much, a second line a few inches to the right of the other one appears for less than a second.
Is there a way to repair this without taking it to the shop or replacing it? Could it be something is loose and can be readjusted or tightened?
It´s an LCD screen, and it´s an HP Compaq nx6325 monitor.

i have a gateway laptop and when i turn it on it is saying that it needs a disc. idk what disc it is, my dad says that it is a disc that actually came with it. well, the problem is we moved alot around and idk where it is anymore. so i was wondering if there was anyway to fix my computer without the disc. thanks in advance for any answers!!!
Is it doable to fix a macbook charger cord if the thin wire was cut in half?

Actually what I want to do is to make one charger out of two broken ones. Each of them has a fault at a completely different place, all I want to know is how to (if possible) to connect two wires using an electricity-proof duct tape. If there were only two small wires I guess it should be simple, but I’m afraid there’s gonna be many wires and I can kill the laptop by connecting them wrongly..

i have replaced a new lcd to my laptop but i notice there is a one red vertical thin line. that thin line sometimes appear on lcd but then sometimes it disappear. i’m really confuse if i have bought bad lcd or there is such explanation to that. please help anyone.. thanks!
