The question is where is the at sign botton on it ,i mean i can find a shif botton on the keypad ,how can i use the at sign botton without pressing the shif ,i hope some of you have the same labtop and you can help me with this ,i am so in trouble cant even send an email to my friends .

I am a computer science student and need a laptop which is light, portable nd easy to carry around. I need good processing power along with light weight.. My usage includes all the programming stuff, working with a lot of softwares, and casual gaming. I will need atleast two OS working on my machine. Is there a reasonably powerful but light laptop at around Rs 50k-55k …ie. $1100 at max? Since i will have to carry around my laptop a lot, i want it light nd small without sacrificing on its processing power. If it is not possible at my budget….then is getting some ultralight mini laptops or powerful netbook a good idea ? It will be down on power but will it be sufficient for my programming and academic needs , running multiple OS nd playing some light games like counter strike, need for speed underground etc ? Hey…nd connectivity to me is equally important. So plz suggest me some good notebooks according to my need… Is there something better coming soon ? I can wait for 4 months at max.
Will the airport x-ray detect a passport hidden in the Moleskine (or any small notebook)?

By Russian law it is forbidden to send ID documents abroad. But there is a need for a passport to be send from Russia to London with DHL or UPS. Is it possible to detect a passport hidden or how to simply hide a passport so it can not be detected?

I’ve carried around a 3×5 notebook in my pocket for a few years. I use it to keep track of to-do lists, shopping lists, notes to myself, etc.
It seems to work ok for me, but I’m considering getting a PDA instead. What can a PDA do better than a notebook? Are there things that are easier in a notebook?

I’m talking A5 sized, or smaller [maybe only SLIGHTLY bigger]. not an actual laptop but a notebook, only used for typing stuff and then transferring to an actual laptop! I want an actual electronic notebook for writing on the move and in class.

The crack (I do not know, how its happen) is just 0.5 cm long with very thin, like a hair, thickness. How can I clear this crack? Shall I use something like quick fix solutions? Please advise.
There is a small crack (just like a hair thickness with half cm long) between the touch pad to the closing edge of plastic framework. Shall I use any glues to join this crack? Please advise.

i am looking to buy a new laptop ofr college in the fall. my current laptop is a piece of crap and heavy as hell! i need a new laptop that is ultralight (5.0pounds or under) and small (14in or under). i will mostly be using it for heavy internet and word processing use (including downloading instant messengers and playing online games). i would really like it to have a really fast processor (2.2 or higher).
if possible, i would realy like it to cost $1,200 or under.
any suggestions???

I own a generic laptop so it doesn’t have a manufacture tech support. (It’s basically a custom made laptop if you want to call it that). I had it for about 2 years now give or take.
I don’t know if it was exactly the hard drive, but I assume it is. I heard two really light metal ticks. It sounded like when you snag your clothe onto a relatively small, thin metal and it produces that small ticking sound. Or when you open up some electronic and on the lid there’s metal and you flick the metal; it made a sound somewhat like that. I don’t know how to describe it.
It ticked twice, stopped for like a 30 seconds to a minute and then ticked twice again. I shut down like 3 minutes after the second tick, cleaned the fan and let it rest for 10 minutes and turned it back on. So far, I can’t reproduce the same clicking and nothing different happened.
Because this is generic laptop, finding a replacement hard drive would be somewhat hard.
I want to buy a light weight small laptop for travel?

I love Dell, but my last laptop was soooo heavy. I don’t need a big screen either.
