I stepped on my macbook, and the screen cracked but the actual picture on my computer laptop wasn’t effected. I know the type of screen is LCD, but I can only see a thin line where the crack is. Everything else is fine. Do I have to replace the whole screen in order to get this fixed?

How much money could I get for this damaged macbook pro? **?
I have a 15″ macbook pro ( http://cdn.cbsi.com.au/story_media/339283128/apple-macbookpro-2007_1.jpg) that is damaged. About and inch above the 2 bottom corners on the inside there are cracks, so the screen kind of falls back. It does not effect the display. There’s a thin and light red line that goes vertically along the left side. The top part of the laptop in general, where the two pieces meet together, is kind of splitting. I’ve been keeping it together pretty well with duct tape. It still works perfectly well, and I have a $50 case on it that has been keeping it together. I can clear the hard drive completely so it will be like a new computer. I’ll throw the case in, but only for $25 extra cause the bottom part of the case has some marker on it. How much do you think I could get for this laptop on ebay or craigslist? Thanks!
No, you don’t understand. People buy them to either repair them or use the parts for things.
Macbook vs. HP Ultralight?
Which laptop is the best? I will be using the laptop for Internet, Microsoft Office programs, iTunes, and my digital camera software. Which laptop is the best suited for me?
MacBook Air has been a failure hasn’t it?
Apple is a brilliant, world class company but I think it got overconfident and thought anything they come up with will be a gigantic success. There is no need for a thin notebook. I think what the world needs at the moment is, somehow, sub-300 dollars quality laptops
Which macbook should I get?
Hi, I’m almost 15 years old and I mow yards to make money. Right now I have about $8500 in the bank right now, and I’m planning on spending between $7,000 and $11,000 on a lightly used car sometime in the next year (my parents are gonna help me out a little bit). So, right now I have two desktop computers and a laptop, and I’m trying to sell my desktops because I only do light gaming occasionally. When I sell them (for $650 and $350, or $1000 for both), I plan on buying a macbook, because I already have a windows laptop and I want to try out apple, plus I’m gonna need a macbook for college. So, the question is, should I get the 13″ Macbook Pro Unibody or the white macbook (whitebook)?
Here’s some more info:
Unibody- $1050 new
whitebook- $600 used, but in perfect physical condition and from a professional used computer store
Unibody- nvidia geforce 9400m
whitebook- intel x3100
(both can run games I play, just nvidia does better)
Unibody Features- Slightly thinner and lighter, backlit keyboard, 3 hours more battery life, completely new, led screen, cooler touchpad, color matches all my stuff (haha), and 200mhz faster processor.
Whitebook features- No tax, comes with a ton of software (most of which I can get for free from my brother though), less expensive obviously….
All the other specs are the same, besides the actual speed of the ram, but not much difference there. So, I don’t really know what would be best. I get a warranty either way, so I could return it…Should I go with the tempting unibody for $500 more, having to spend $100 of money from work?…or should I go with the slightly used whitebook, only having to spend the money made from selling one desktop (and then depositing what I have left over from selling the two desktops), but not getting all the cool features?
Also, keep in mind that I did not have to pay anything for the $350 desktop, but I did pay $775 for the other one…
I know there are a lot of factors and this is a lot to read (and probably something I should decide for myself)…but I don’t know. Please help me out, I’m just trying to decide whether the unibody is worth it or not. Thanks!
I guess Bbb II missed the point that I already have a windows computer and that I need a mac for college…
Advice on getting a MacBook?
Hey everyone. I’m thinking of buying a Mac Book for my daughter’s birthday this year, but I need some help in choosing which one. I have heard about the Mac Book Air but I’m not fond of it because it’s very small and very thin, Also i heard it has no CD Drive and only one USB port which is useless and only for show. However there are two more, the Mac Book and the Mac Book pro, does anyone have one of the two and are they good? My daughter is familiar with laptops because she goes to an e-learning school, but we’ll be moving this month and she’ll be going to a normal high school, so she won’t just get it to show off. We are not showing of our wealth by spoiling our daughter but my husband and I would just like to give her the best education she can have and all the resources she can get. She currently has a Dell Latitude D630 which she has been using for 2 years now because it was recommended by the school, but she didn’t honestly take very good care of it. Also she isn’t going to take this laptop to school with her, it will just stay at home on her desk for school work.
By the way she is only 12.
Thanks in advance.
Charlotte.
Is it doable to fix a macbook charger cord if the thin wire was cut in half?
Actually what I want to do is to make one charger out of two broken ones. Each of them has a fault at a completely different place, all I want to know is how to (if possible) to connect two wires using an electricity-proof duct tape. If there were only two small wires I guess it should be simple, but I’m afraid there’s gonna be many wires and I can kill the laptop by connecting them wrongly..

Try to find a way that windows is better and list as many things as u can that a PC can do but not a mac….Make sure what u say is not on the list of what macs can do:
1. Macs dont get as many viruses
2. Macs have better graphics
3. Macs run Windows and Mac OS X Leopard so its like a two in one computer
4. Macs run Microsoft Office

11.Macs are more reliable
12. Snow Leopard is comming out which is going to be easier and faster than before
13. Macs have magnetic plug so if u trip over the cable the computer does not fall

What song is on the new comercial for the MacBook?
There is that new MacBook by Apple and I really like that song that they play on that comercial. The comercial is where they take the laptop out of a folder and set it down and open it up, and it’s a really thin laptop, do you know the one? I’ve never heard the song before now but I think it is really cool and I was wondering what song it was. If anybody knows please help me out!
Thanks
