I don’t usually shut down my laptop so i usually just shut it and put it to sleep mode, but is that little blinking white light on the front necessary? because its really annoying when it lights up my whole room when i’m trying to sleep. Seriously, its that bright. Is there any way can turn it off or something? i have a macbook pro

I want to buy my mom a light weight medium size laptop with a decent hard drive size and Windows 7 but if it doesn’t have Windows 7 that’s ok. Basically a basic computer with no fancy features. I do want it do have a DVD drive and preferable HP.

Light blue line running down my screen?

a few minutes ago a thin light blue line appeared on the screen of my laptop, when i lifted it up. it’s a vertical line that starts from the top all the way down to the keyboard, it just sits there. can any1 tell me what’s the problem? and mostly importantly how can I fix it?
