I have decided to purchase a laptop computer, but I would like some opinions from people who already own laptop computers. Which brands out there have you had good luck with?? Which brands have you had the most problems with?? Which brands have the best tech support?? Am I better off buying direct from sony, dell or gateway, for example, than going down to circuit city or best buy?? I would appreciate any help or feedback from experiences you have had out there in the past year. Thank you everyone for all your help!!

What are some good laptop qualities?
I want to buy myself a laptop because I don’t like having my computer in my room and I want to be able to move around as I use it a lot.
Anyway, I plan on using this to check my email, facebook and instant message. I will also probably use it to type documents and listen to music. I would like something that has a CD disk drive and I want to be able to have enough memory to install programs that I may need.
I want it to be easily compatible with the internet, and would prefer that has Windows Vista.
I also want it to be thin, but have a large screen (what size is considered large, medium or small?), I want it to be very easy to carry around.
I want to spend no more than 700 or 800 dollars.
What is a good brand? How much memory should it have? What are some questions I should be asking myself before I buy and do you suggest any laptops?
Help! Looking for an inexpensive laptop, light weight, and fast. suggestions?
OK
then I want a fast Laptop with good memory that’s not too expensive..for everyday work..
Memory card STUCK IN LAPTOP! (PLEASE HELP!!!)?
Argh I feel so stupid!!!!
Well, I was putting my mom’s memory card into my laptop to put pictures on it when I realized it was too small to use that memory card slot, but then I tapped it and it got pushed in! Then I tried to get it out with tweezers and it went down even further!!!! Now it’s REALLY stuck! And I cant get tweezers in the slot cuz its too thin. WHAT CAN I DO?!?! I can’t afford to ruin my laptop OR the memory card! They both have valuable information on them!! (Especially my mom’s memory card) I heard using two bits of wire and superglue works to pull it out… but will it ruin the memory card?
PLEASE HELP!
I need a definate way to fix this before I tell her what happened. So at least maybe she’ll let me off easy.
What laptop would you recommend?
I need to get a new laptop, and I’m not looking for anything too expensive. But I do like my laptop to be portable but also sleek/sexy kind, thin-and-light (4-6lbs) kind. Is ther any brand you’d recommend or a model? (btw not a mac user sry) Thanks ahead
which laptop is better for gaming?
I wanted a good laptop for everthing but mostly games. I wanna play a game called champions online. it has better graphics then WoW so i want to know if one of these 2 would be better to buy.

What’s the difference between a laptop computer and a notebook computer?
Which is the best? My application would be mainly, when we travel, to use it for e-mail, games, and surfing web. Possibly for photos in the future. I see ads for laptops & ads for notebooks, but I really don’t know the difference or which one would be better for the price.

what is a good laptop that is good quality?
-Not too expensive
- has to come in shiny white
- thin
-light weight.
the most important thing it has to have is that it functions well and is WHITE…
if it has a webcam built in that would be GREAT!
just for an everyday at home use…
