Ordered three weeks before Christmas, as I had ordered a black one (apparently, Amazon has only these in stock), and it came within two days, so when I ordered a second kindle, for a gift, I also ordered this purple case, mistakenly thinking I would get the same, brilliant service, especially since I paid extra for one day shipping. Did not happen. The Kindle arrived within two days, the case is now scheduled for delivery on December 29th! Brilliant! Just plain brilliant! Amazon should make it a LOT clearer, when one orders more than one item, that the second item may be coming by pony express.

My Kansas State purple Kindle protective jacket it just right, except
for “installing” the Kindle in it. The hooks are a bit too snug. Mine is
sitting just off center – - but that’s okay. Everything else about it is
perfect.

I have the Kindle 2 and recently received this case as a birthday gift. I am a notoriously clumsy person, so I knew I needed something to help protect my Kindle and also add better grip for when I’m carrying it. This works perfectly! I thought that I would only use it while traveling, but I haven’t removed my Kindle from it since I first put it on. It’s not at all bulky and still makes the Kindle comfortable to read in bed or wherever. My favorite part is that the inside hinge has hooks that insert into the side of your Kindle 2 to hold it in securely, so I don’t have to worry about it falling out. The purple leather is also a great color and high-quality, and it looks great with the decal I have on my Kindle. Highly recommended!

The Kindle is very plain and easy to damage without a cover. This leather jacket adds class and style. I would recommend adding the Lily skin as well. They work beautifully together.
