I travel every week and I’m looking for a good comprise in a laptop. Light, thin, good screen and keyboard.?

04 May

Netbooks won’t cut it; too small, too weak. iPad won’t work either; I’ll need to have Windows as an option, even if its a Mac. Screen must be clear because of bad eye sight. Thanks for your suggetions.

    Hi there,

There are some great light, portable laptops out there! The Asus UX30-A1 is very slim and light (3.6 lbs) but it has a “finger-friendly” keyboard. It is also an affordable option, at $649. The Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1325WH is also very sleek and it has extra long battery life (it also is slightly less expensive than the Asus but also about half a pound heavier). These are two options I think you might like, but there are many other PCs that are light and thin. You should check out the PC Scout tool (link below) to see if you find any other matches. You can enter in your specs (such as maximum weight, price, screen size, etc.) and it will generate recommendations for you.

Good luck and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Cheers,

You can check out the HP Thin & Light series. The dm3-1132TX comes with 13.3″ screen, <1.9kg with a 6-7 hour battery life.
