Yes if you can find a xp.iso which is a image of the data on a xp boot CD and put that on a usb key and restart your computer and tell it to boot from usb by getting in to the bios. How ever this is illegal because you will be pirating the .iso unless you create one using a pc with a disk drive and have a xp disc.

You can’t. The reason the netbook has linux preinstalled is because it does not have enough memory or processor speed to support XP.
If you wanted XP you should have gotten a netbook with XP preinstalled.
Laptops can be configured to run on different OS but netbooks are very finicky about the OS.

You can’t buy XP anymore. So if you can get a new copy of windows XP, you would have to load it to a USB drive and tell your computer to boot from USB first. That would install it.

Buy yourself an external CD drive, set the BIOS to boot from external drive first and reboot with the XP CD in the drive. Follow the prompts and you will have XP on it.

Xbox usb dvd drives work on acer netbooks ( mate has one and his works ) he picked on up for £20 he got rid of linspire that comes with it and put on ubuntu 9.04 instead, everything worked straight out of the box, both the dvd drive and the ubuntu extras like the ready setup wireless drivers, he is glad he switched from XP as they dont update it anymore, ps linux is a totally free operating system that doesn’t catch viruses

It can be done but 1st you need to ensure you have enough RAM and your hard drive is big enough. Here is your linkhttp://www.liliputing.com/2008/04/instal…
