- Thin, white horizontal lines on my laptop screen in the upper right hand corner?
- What would cause a laptop screen to go black & purple with thin coloured lines going down it?
- Repair or replace? I have an HP Compaq laptop about 3 yrs old, I have thin colored lines on the screen.?
- The lcd screen on my laptop has small thin lines on one side(very faint), can this be repaired under warranty?

You probably can’t. There is a small chance that re-seating the display ribbon cable will fix the problem. There is a better chance that the ribbon cable is damaged and needs to be replaced. There is still a significant chance that the display itself is damaged and the whole thing needs replacing.
It is still worth taking the computer apart and re-seating the cable, just to be sure.

If its still under warranty, send it back to Toshiba and have them repair it. There really isn’t a way to get rid of the lines.
