I need something with more then 2 gigs of ram, is lightweight, and has 12 – 14″ screen that is wide screen format and high resolution. 6lbs or under is what I am looking at. Not really looking at getting a netbook or a thin and light though .. just a regular laptop for school use. I do btw, need something with a very lightweight power supply, that is extremely important!!
Are there any good laptop under $500.00?

Dell Inspirons are a good bet, very reliable brand and not too expensive.
Try – PC world, Currys, Comet, and Dixons
They all sell a good variety of laptops just have a look through and take your pick
Good thing is, you can go in-store aswell, not restircted to online shopping. So you can go and see the laptops in person before buying.
