    Gotcha! I’m so extra aint i lol….Guya what do you think of the Compaq Mini 311c-1030SA 11.6″ ION Netbook with 3G built-in?I need to pick one up for the miss, I was considering that model.. what do you reckon?The only thing is it has XP and not winodws 7..One more thing, do you know if you can install a oem version of windows 7 on more than one of your pcs? Ive got a legit copy on my desktop, if i install it on a netbook too would i be breaching ms licence agreement?

    You are correct, but we weren’t so much trying to show the difference between XP / W7 starting times, but rather just the difference between me and a buddies netbook. Simply for fun, comparison, and due to the fact that we didn’t similar systems to compare. Call it being bored, or just being curious, but just sharing.Both are fairly new, not many programs on them, etc.Thanks for the comment though !

    To be fair that’s a bit of a silly comparison.If you were going to compare XP Vs W7, to get a more accurate result you would really need to have the exact same manufacture hardware, the exact identical software installed including third party applications, then make sure prior to running the test that both machines have been defragmented and shut down properly.Then fire away…
