I have decided to purchase a laptop computer, but I would like some opinions from people who already own laptop computers. Which brands out there have you had good luck with?? Which brands have you had the most problems with?? Which brands have the best tech support?? Am I better off buying direct from sony, dell or gateway, for example, than going down to circuit city or best buy?? I would appreciate any help or feedback from experiences you have had out there in the past year. Thank you everyone for all your help!!
If Mac goes to all this trouble to design the thinnest notebook possible….?
Why the heck do they go to all the trouble they can to make the plug-in adaptor as obtrusive, bulky and huge as possible (not to mention a short as heck 3 foot cord)???????
ITs like this huge heavy square block that jets out of the wall, with a threat of pulling itself out of the wall with its own weight.
Lame I say.
Forget about behind the dresser powerups.
What are some good laptop qualities?
I want to buy myself a laptop because I don’t like having my computer in my room and I want to be able to move around as I use it a lot.
Anyway, I plan on using this to check my email, facebook and instant message. I will also probably use it to type documents and listen to music. I would like something that has a CD disk drive and I want to be able to have enough memory to install programs that I may need.
I want it to be easily compatible with the internet, and would prefer that has Windows Vista.
I also want it to be thin, but have a large screen (what size is considered large, medium or small?), I want it to be very easy to carry around.
I want to spend no more than 700 or 800 dollars.
What is a good brand? How much memory should it have? What are some questions I should be asking myself before I buy and do you suggest any laptops?
Are Laptops able to connect to a Wireless router using a USB Adapter? ?
I am planning on buying a new Toshiba laptop and I am going to get a BT wireless router.
When I was on the BT Shop web site I looked at USB Adapters, but at the side I saw a Tab that said “Laptop Cards”, which is a thin, wide card that goes in to the side of your Laptop.
Can you only use these to connect to a Wireless router or can you use a USB Adapter to connect? Please Help.
Ok, Thanks.
Can I run sims 3 with this……?

Memory card STUCK IN LAPTOP! (PLEASE HELP!!!)?
Argh I feel so stupid!!!!
Well, I was putting my mom’s memory card into my laptop to put pictures on it when I realized it was too small to use that memory card slot, but then I tapped it and it got pushed in! Then I tried to get it out with tweezers and it went down even further!!!! Now it’s REALLY stuck! And I cant get tweezers in the slot cuz its too thin. WHAT CAN I DO?!?! I can’t afford to ruin my laptop OR the memory card! They both have valuable information on them!! (Especially my mom’s memory card) I heard using two bits of wire and superglue works to pull it out… but will it ruin the memory card?
PLEASE HELP!
I need a definate way to fix this before I tell her what happened. So at least maybe she’ll let me off easy.
What laptop would you recommend?
I need to get a new laptop, and I’m not looking for anything too expensive. But I do like my laptop to be portable but also sleek/sexy kind, thin-and-light (4-6lbs) kind. Is ther any brand you’d recommend or a model? (btw not a mac user sry) Thanks ahead

How much would you sell this computer for?
It’s an emachine, 2 yrs old, runs fine, just getting a laptop and want to put the money i sell it for towards the laptop. its got the older model monitor (kind of large, not thin screen). i would sell the mouse and keyboard with it.
i dont know about the internal stuff. but it does have m.s. 2007 home & student. how much more would that add? oh, and the speakers would go with it too.
is an HP notebook really better than a Gateway?
if it has the same kind of processor and memory and all that stuff? i found two similar laptops, but the HP is $200 more. one pro is that the HP is more lightweight, but that isn’t a huge issue for me. i just want the better laptop. is the HP really better than a gateway?
